The Alamance Youth Orchestra (AYO) is open to string, woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians in grades 6-12. The orchestra is co-directed by Andrew Beach and Peter Zlotnick.

What to Prepare?

1. A solo piece of your choice between 2-4 minutes long

2. A chromatic scale demonstrating your range on your instrument

Strings may use any preferred bowing and winds/brass may use any preferred articulation

3. Prepare for a short sightreading excerpt

4. Prepare for a short pattern echo exercise
