Alamance Youth Orchestra

The Alamance Youth Orchestra (AYO) is open to string, woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians in grades 6-12. The orchestra is co-directed by Andrew Beach and Peter Zlotnick.

YMA is often able to loan instruments to students in need. 

If you are interested in supporting the AYO, whether by volunteering, financially, or otherwise,

Auditions will take place September 23

What to Prepare?

1. A solo piece of your choice between 2-4 minutes long

2. A chromatic scale demonstrating your range on your instrument

Strings may use any preferred bowing and winds/brass may use any preferred articulation

3. Prepare for a short sightreading excerpt

4. Prepare for a short pattern echo exercise
